E.R. checks appendix: Lower right abdominal discomfort can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is always a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). Call : Call your doctor right away. 20-30% of women will have some vaginal bleeding in the first trimester of pregnancy. First trimester bleeding can have many causes such as: threatened miscarriage - bleeding, but the fetus is still alive inside miscarriage - lost pregnancy ectopic pregnancy - a pregnancy which implants in the fallopian tube molar pregnancy - abnormal tissue developing instead of a fetus post-coital bleeding - bleeding after sex from a sensitive cervix trauma or infection unrelated to pregnancy - small cuts or tears in the vagina or an infection such as pelvic inflammatory disease since some of these can be dangerous and since vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is always considered abnormal, you should call you ob/gyne doctor for any bleeding. They will be able to check you and treat you appropriately. Good luck! ...Read more

I'm running out of time to lose the pregnancy weight. Which exercises can I do to get rid of the lower belly flab?

I'm running out of time to lose the pregnancy weight. Which exercises can I do to get rid of the lower belly flab?

Postpartum weight: Hi andresparadaiz, weight loss after childbirth is a common challenge. Unfortunately it's difficult to lose weight in just one area. Depending on how long it's been since birth you may still see some natural skin regression. Strengthening the stomach muscles will help reduce the bulge but not the loose skin. If you are particularly concerned you may need a cosmetic surgery evaluation. Doc ripley. ...Read more

Yes: Pap smears can traumatize the cervix sufficiently to cause slight bleeding for a couple of days. Cramping is also common, and every pregnancy is different. It is also possible that this represents early signs of a miscarriage but this seems less likely. ...Read more

You should consider seeing your primary doctor or a gyn to be examined for what could be going on. I have lower abdominal pain with intestinal spasms. Negative pregnancy test, had a CT of the abdomen done. Would the scan show a pregnancy?

I have lower abdominal pain with intestinal spasms. Negative pregnancy test, had a CT of the abdomen done. Would the scan show a pregnancy?

CT scan: To answer your question, yes, a CT scan would show a pregnancy if it were large enough. However, if you had a pregnancy test done at the hospital, and it was negative, then you are not pregnant. The hospital would not even do a CT scan if they suspected you might be pregnant. There must be an alternative explanation for your symptoms. You should speak with your doctor about your results.Good luck. ...Read more
