Is it.Normal for a panic attack to cause the limbs to temporarily cramp up completely? (arms/finger/toes curled in unnable to move)

Yes: Panic attack = rapid breathing (hyperventilation) . This reduces the normal level of carbon dioxide in the blood, which causes your ph to rise (respiratory alkalosis), which in turn reduces the free calcium in your blood, which leads to painful muscle spasms or contractions, especially in the fingers/wrist and feet. The most i can think of is angina can sometimes cause the left arm and fingers to tingle or even burn. It certainly would have no affect on the toes, though. ...Read more
