Since I stopped taking suboxone, I now get frequent migraine and tension headaches. What can I take for these headaches? Also, Is this common?
Common: Headaches are common in the general population and after coming off a very strong drug like Suboxone I would suspect headaches will be frequent for 6-12 months as your body adjusts. Advil or tylenol (acetaminophen) are fine to take. Also consider chiropractic, accupuncture or massage therapy. ...Read more
I started getting an intense pain in my right temple about 40 minutes ago. I have chronic migraines and tension headaches - is it just a migraine?
How do I know if I have sinus headache or migraine or tension headache. Is a brain/sinus scan needed
Get evaluated: There are many causes of these three types of headache, and many different ways in which they manifest themselves. The best option is to discuss your symptoms with your primary care physician to figure out what is going on, and to identify the best way to get some relief. Ct or MRI of the head or sinuses may not be necessary. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Had MRI and Ct. both good. Blood work good. Getting migraine or tension headaches a lot. Throbbing and sensitive feeling. What is this?
What is what?: If you're having migraine and/or tension headaches, then you're having migraine or tension headaches. That's what it is. If that's your true diagnosis, then the MRI, Ct and blood tests were completely unnecessary and a waste of time, resources and needless radiation exposure of your brain. You need to educate yourself about headaches. ...Read more
I experience headaches almost everyday to every other day,it goes from migraines to tension headaches constantly. I get nauseas and dizzy all the time?
Needs evaluation: Headaches that occur constantly and associated with symptoms of dizziness should not be taken lightly. If this is happening more towards the evening it could be Tension headaches arising from the daily stressors of life. If this is happening intensely over a few months and then disappears this could Cluster headaches. Please please. I have a killer headache. I've tried fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) and vicodin no help what can I do I suffer from migraine n tension headaches per dr?
See a neurologist: Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) and vicodin are not necessarily appropriate long term options for migraine. First, they only treat symptoms and don't prevent. Second, frequent use can cause worse headaches, a condition called analgesic rebound headache. There are good prescription meds for migraine prevention. Also, some of my patients have responded to riboflavin, a b vitamin, at 400mg per day. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Can i get advice?I was discharged home from hospital yesterday.Spent three days there with migraine, tension headache, vision problems and unexplained left sided weakness.Today, i can't feel my left leg
See Neurologist: You need to pursue this further with a neurologist ( brain and nerve specialist ). You may well need an MRI of your brain and spinal cord if not already done. A migraine could do what is happening to you but at your age it would be wise to pursue further. If you can't feel your leg go back to the emergency room. Ask questions of the doctors. If thihgs are not right pursue until they are. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Bad headache in the left temple. It is probably a migraine or stress tension headache. But if it was a brain tumor. Would there be other symptoms?
Likely not tumor: Given your younger age and type of symptoms currently displayed, a brain tumor is less likely. It depends on the frequency and severity of symptoms, but you might consider requesting your doctor to order an MRI brain with and without contrast (it provides better detail of the brain than does the ct). I would definitely consider quitting smoking. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
