Migraine Prevention With Propranolol (Inderal)
Other than Inderal (propranolol) what is a migraine preventative for intractable migraine? Having trouble finding one to try.
On 60 mg of Inderal (propranolol) for migraine. Have daily chest pain that radiates to my left arm, jaw, throat esp. when Inderal (propranolol) wears off. What could this be?

Why do I get headaches every single day? I suffer migraines and i take inderal (propranolol) for them but i'm still getting really frequent and hard headaches!
Migraines: Migraines are generally triggered by certain foods or food additives, poor sleep, stress, frequent use of analgesic or anti headache medications, and hormonal conditions (like thyroid disorders). Inderal (propranolol) is a great medication but requires that you practice adequate diet and sleep pattern. Rebound headaches occur when using frequent pain medications. I'm taking lisnopril 10mg for high bp, i was just added propranolol 80mg ER for migraine prevention. Should i be worried about my BP dropping too low?

"Side effects"?: I don't quite get it. It sounds like side effects are what you're having NOW. Side effects are what you want to STOP having. This is not the venue for your question. Would not recommend: Inderal (propranolol) is a beta blocker, and is approved for migraine prevention, but adverse effects include depression, fatigue, slowing of pulse, faintness, exercise intolerance, cognitive clouding, and makes asthma worse. Could aggravate it: Beta blockers, such as inderal (propranolol), (propranolol) can aggravate asthma. If you decide to take it, the asthma should be monitored closely.
