You can't: The migraine aura is a neurosensory disturbance that includes a series of idiopathic, neurologic symptoms that develop gradually over a 5-20 minute period and last less than an hour. Are you for or Against using Propranolol long term for Migraine Aura without headache? Is there evidence of long term negative affects of Propranolol?
Does Topamax (topiramate) need to be taking for say 6 months for persistent migraine aura and migraines, or can it be taken only until the aura and migraine stops?
Typically long term: I tend to keep my headache patients on prophylactic medications stable for 2-3 yrs (especially if they're high risk for headaches, or there are genetic predispositions) before weaning down on anything. You agree: Hope you know this: It's often not either/or but rather both - and more! Even your low BP is a tad high - worthy of attention - not necessarily Rx. Ccoming down quickly is good, but don't be complaisant. Your other cardiac issues say live a 5-star healthy style! It could: ...just the anxiety about possibly getting a migraine if you have bad ones. However, you have a rather complicated history and are on some things which should help control your blood pressure. Keep checking it, and if it is staying up (or going up) probably should be seen given your history. By the way, you can always take more Magnesium, bisglycinate better than citrate.
