Yes: With low platlets you should not be taking anything with Aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine. Midrin does not have Aspirin initial. I would recommend that you should always check with your hematologist before starting any new medication. ...Read more

One of the components does breakdown to Chloral Hydrate but that substance is seldom tested for as the actual drug is not frequently tested for except in forensic situations as for when a date-rape drug is suspected.
