Stiff finger: Without swelling or deformity in the finger i believe the most likely etiology is a trigger digit with swelling or deformity i would lean more toward an arthritic joint. Trigger digits can hurt when trying to get the finger out straight typically leading to pain at the "pip joint." x-rays would help. ...Read more

?all PSA: You are rather young for pmr. It may be that your initial symptoms of psoriatic arthritis (psa), mimicked pmr with neck, shoulder, lower back and/or hip hip pain/stiffness. Both pmr and psa can have elevated ESR and or crp. Both can respond well to prednisone. I try to diagnose people with one disease not two if possible. ...Read more
