I have a well defined ovoid hyperechoic focus with a central hyperechoic hilum in the left lateral chest wall ? Lymph node measuring 9mm in diameter c
Question? Diagnosis?: Not sure of your question, but I surmise you want a diagnosis (you want to know what this IS). Without symptoms & physical exam (pictures), it is impossible to know. Even knowing symptoms & appearance, sometimes the ultrasound is not definitive enough to give a diagnosis. See a surgeon for a biopsy; this may be a lipoma (benign fatty growth) or a lymphoma (benign or malignant, both types exist). ...Read more

Mass identified on ultrasound near intestines low/mid right side of abdomen. What would MRI show vs ultrasound? Had baby 12 weeks ago.
8mm well circumscribed hyperechoic mass in sternal notch, slightly mobile, firm, growing. Possible lymph node?? Tech thought node, doc thinks lipoma??
Prob lipoma.: An ultrasound can see the difference between a lymph node and a lipoma. So if the doctor (radiologist) said lipoma, it's a lipoma. Even so, if it keeps growing, it's best to have it biopsied. Some tumors, like liposarcomas, can masquerade as lipomas because they are made of fat. Any lump that continues to grow eventually needs a biopsy. I hope that helps! ...Read more

Possibly: It's possible that you have a blood clot in the vein on your penis or a varicose(enlarged/dilated) vein on the penis. Treatment option can vary depending on what the diagnosis is so I would encourage you to seek in person evaluation by a physician/urologist. You should be careful if you decide to engage in sex and be good about lubricant use to prevent traumatizing the area. Best of luck. ...Read more
