According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I Stopped taking the pill (Aviane). Got my Period may 28 & Unprotected sex June 5-8. Had period like bleeding June 11-14 mid cycle. Pregnancy chance?

Possibly: Anytime you have intercourse without using contraception, there's always a chance of pregnancy depending where you are in your cycle. Unfortunately not all cycles are always regular and the time you ovulate may change. If you miss your period, take a preg test a week after your missed period. ...Read more

I have never had mid cycle bleeding or spotting. However starting yesterday (cycle day 17 and today cycle day 18) I had very light pink spotting. There's no cramps or any feeling like with a normal menstrual cycle. Just feels like a little pinch once in

It happens sometimes: Many women have occasional variation of their mucus discharge, some spotting between periods, a heavier period, a lighter period, a longer or shorter period, or even a missed period. Having one or two of these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean there is a medical problem, but a visit to one’s primary care or Ob-Gyn doctor is a good idea if symptoms are persistent, recurring, or worrisome. ...Read more

Misssed period mid-July; nausea and vomiting until last Friday: heavy Bleeding commence cont. With huge clots and vaginal tissue; still bleeding (pv) now; blood test bHCG level at 4000 today. Sonogram shows no uterine gestation. Is this ectopic?

Maybe: Would need to see another level or two to confirm if dropping. If its an ectopic the level will often plateau, whereas if you passed most of the pregnancy already the level will drop. If you haven't seen a gynecologist, you need to and if bleeding severe, an ER visit may be needed. Molar pregnancy is also possible. ...Read more

So im suppose to be on my menstrual but instead of bleeding I've been spotting for the last 4 1/2 days could this be a sign of pregnancy?

Last month I missed my menstrual little spotting here and their. Today more I spotting bleeding light pink red brown. Could it be pregnancy?

Possibly: You can miss a period for several reasons. Pregnancy is certainly a possibility. Doing a home pregnancy test is a simple way to know.

It is also possible that you didn't ovulate. This is another common cause of missed periods and spotting. If you are not pregnant but the pattern persists over a few months, you should get it checked out. ...Read more

Light menstral bleeding only when I urinate. No cramps. No chance of pregnancy. Been bleeding a over a week now. Is there something wrong?

Not likely serious: It would help to know what your normal cycles are like, when your next period is due and whether or not you're using hormonal contraception. Hormonal fluctuations can cause intermenstrual spotting and occasional changes in your period. If you're sure the blood isn't coming from you bladder and you're not bleeding heavily, you can take a wait-and-see approach. If it recurs, see you gyno. ...Read more

Is on/off cramps mid cycle a symptom of pregnancy?

Is on/off cramps mid cycle a symptom of pregnancy?

Probably not.: Hi Eugene,

Cramping can be caused by many factors. Too many to name just now. But consider that ovulation occurs mid-cycle. There are so many hormonal changes at this time. The uterus is a hormone sensitive organ and responds in 1 of 2 ways. It either cramps &/or bleeds. I would say that mid cycle cramping is expected and normal, therefore do not worry. ...Read more
