I had a UTI last week & took MicroBid for a week. Now this week, I have mid back pain on the right- Kidney. Had a UTI 6 months ago too. Any reason?
Pyelonephritis?: Some UTI bacteria are resistant to nitrofurantoin (Microbid). It sounds like your infection might not have been adequately treated and now has ascended to involve the kidney (pyelonephritis). Return to your doctor ASAP. Stomach pain: Sounds like a peptic ulcer. You probably should have an EGD (scope exam). Cease all alcohol consumption. Avoid all NSAIDS. H. pylori infection is relatively common.
