Scars: Yes, fungal infection can leave an area of increased pigmentation that persists for quite a while. There is really nothing that can be done about that, other than covering the area with cosmetics. ...Read more

Not generally.: any infection whether it be viral, bacterial or fungal can lead to pigmentary changes after healing. Scarring is unlikely but could be a result of scratching the skin repeatedly due to itching from the infection. ...Read more
