Microgestin Fe 1 Medication
I am taking the following medications: citalopram 15mg, loratadine 10mg, microgestin fe 1/20, multivit/mineral supp, calc/mag/zinc. Do these drugs interact? Which can I take at the same time?
I been taking Microgestin fe for 5 years now and my doctor want to put me with one injectable now once a month. Will it make me gain weight?
I have been taking Purely Inspired Garcinia Cambogia for one week now and wanted to ask if it will/can effect my birth control Microgestin Fe 1.5/30?
No: It's basically a weak caffeine source, like drinking watered-down coffee. You're paying good money for hype ("purely inspired"). I'm glad you're using birth control and it's always a good idea to check with physicians about interactions when you're taking medicines like these. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have been taking microgestin fe 1/20 for 6 months now and have been experiencing severe bloading. What can I do to relieve the bloading?
"i took 7 days worth of microgestin fe 1.5/30 in 1 day last month. Was told yesyerday i may now have mittleshmerz.Could it be anything else?
Not clear: I don't know what you are feeling that you were told was mittelschmerz. Mittelschmerz is the pain in the right or left low belly that can occur with ovulation. Taking 7 bcp in a day doesn't cause it. Taking that many pills will make your period irregular for that month so it can take several months for your cycles to get back to normal. ...Read more
Usually none: It might be possible to gain a pound or two but it is rare unless you change diet and activity. The other possible but improbable side effects are all listed in the package insert. Oh nausea until you get used to them is a real one that some women have but not too many. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I don't take my Microgestin Fe pill at the same time everyday. I take it between 10 PM - Midnight. Am I still protected with this two hour time span?
Yes: Microgestin Fe is a combination pill so as long as you take it everyday, you're fine, although I wouldn't suggest 11:59PM then 2 minutes later at 12:01AM. Check out http://plannedparenthood.tumblr.com/post/23827960518/timing-of-birth-control-pills. Progestin-only pills have a much narrower 3hr leeway. ...Read more

Oral bc: Cyclobenzaprine will not cause interference with "microgestin fe", but remember that your periods may be light to absent taking a pure progestin type oral contraceptive (the "minipill"). Progestin types of oral contraceptives are "safe" but can influence the onset of menses by inhibiting ovulation on occasion. ...Read more
I am on a combination pill (Microgestin FE 24) and have been since April. I still ovulate... Is that normal???
I always menstruate 1st day of inactive pills or last day of active. I've read it should start later. Is pill working? It's been 4 mos. Microgestin fe
It can: Especially if you notice increased prednisone side effects or the presence of some that had not been there, discuss it w/ your Dr ASAP. Do not stop either on your own, but speak about needs and alternatives. You don't mention the condition being treated, but it must be important for that Rx. Best! ...Read more

Always had perfect iron levels. Started Microgestin Fe & eat lots of greens. Perfect blood tests 6 mos. ago, now all good but iron's too high. Why?
Why be perfect?: Taking an iron tablet before the blood is drawn -- perhaps even the previous day -- can raise the levels. You're not in any danger from it. Reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside on either side. I'll bet you're leading a fitness-focused lifestyle, and I'm much more happy about that than the idea of "perfect labs." ...Read more
