My micro albumin/ Creatinine urine ratio is high at 40.4.  But my micro albumin is 12.0 and my creatinine is 29.7, both low.  So is it really "high"?

Ratio's: A ratio depends on if one number is higher or lower than the norm so if one is off then, being high or low, will make the ratio be off. Not sure what the norm ratios for the lab u are using are, but usually a Urine MA above 3 is high. ...Read more

My 14y/o daughter is type1dm. Her microalbumin w/create ratio is high 36.her creatinine and micro albumin are normal levels.is this something to worry?

Unclear question: I understand that your daughter has type I diabetes and she has protein in her urine. If that is correct, it not an urgent matter, but protein in urine portends kidney disease. Albumin irrelevant: Make this judgment based on severity of your pain, whether it has been evaluated previously (and you suspect a particular cause), whether your diabetes is in good control, and other symptoms such as fever.
