Can metoprolol succinate be used with albuterol sulfate?

Yes: Although it seems paradoxical, it is sometimes prudent to use a beta-blocker at the same time as a beta-agonist. I assume that the albuterol is being used as an inhaler. If you are wheezing, and you respond to albuterol, you may benefit from inhaled albuterol (typically a short course, as other therapies are likely to be beneficial in chronic use.) there can be untoward side effects. ...Read more

BP ; blurry vision: Yes, if the BP drops, you can get blurry vision. My advise check the BP ; pulse if this happens again and a significant drop in any can cause dizziness and blurry vision. Increase fluid intake and avoid abrupt changes in posture will help. Usually these symptoms will subside in few days and i usually advise my patients to start lower and increase ad long the medication is tolerated. ...Read more
