Don't give up: First, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Changes will come with time. Keep exercising at least 30 minutes per day to the point it is difficult to sing. Eat mostly a plant based diet, such as fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, and whole grains and wild fish like salmon. Walking three miles a day at a brisk pace has been shown to significantly reduce appetite. If you can't walk, swimming is great. Work on cutting back high calorie foods, sugary drinks like soda. Reduce processed foods. Focus on more whole foods, cooked from scratch, without a lot of added fat (deep fried, cream sauces, etc.).
