Is it best to take oral methotrexate on empty stomach or ok 2 take with full meal 2 prevent nausea? My doc didn't specify but I read different views.

Take folic acid!: You can take the Methotrexate with food, but you should also take Folic Acid daily to prevent GI side effects. The Folic Acid is an inexpensive b vitamin and will not decrease the effectiveness of the methotrexate. I usually start patients on 1mg of Folic Acid a day, but some patients need more. ...Read more
