Yes: It's okay to switch to Saturday. Remember not to do your blood tests on the same day as you take your methotrexate (MTX). The blood test monitoring for MTX is sometimes abnormal (but not significant) on the day or the day after taking MTX. ...Read more

Does anyone know how long methotrexate stays in your system?

10 weeks!: Methotrexate, itself, is virtually gone in several days. But more active metabolites, called Methotrexate polyglutamates, stay inside body tissue for 2&1/2 months. If you are on mtx for arthitis, or other rheumatology problem, you should wate that long before trying to conceive. ...Read more

Does Dexilant effect methotrexate, if so how. Took 60mg daily of Dexilant for five days and took my. 8cc of methotrexate. Have been feeling nauseous and generally ill for a few days. How long before Dexilant is out of system?

Can increase MTX, but: Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor, which can decrease the ability of your kidneys to remove mtx from your body. However, I doubt your levels could have risen dramatically in five days, when you have had only one mtx dose. Besides, mtx itself takes 2 & 1/2 mo to fully form the most active metabolites, called Methotrexate polyglutamates. I would not take the ppi long term without readjusting mtx! ...Read more

I accidently took 6 100 mcg of levoxyl (thyroxine) instead of methotrexate this morning do I need to go to emergency room I feel ok?

Get checked: Levoxyl (thyroxine) is a "narrow therapeutic index" drug, which means that the safe and effective dose is usually very close to the toxic dose. Therefore, a Levoxyl (thyroxine) overdose can result from taking just a little too much Levoxyl (thyroxine).
