Metabolic Syndrome (Overview)

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions — increased blood pressure, a high blood sugar level, excess body fat around the waist and abnormal cholesterol levels — that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Having just one of these conditions doesn't mean you have metabolic syndrome. However, any of these conditions increase your risk of serious disease.

Age 29 y taking atorvastatin 10 mg diagnostic as metabolic syndrome now I have back pain in kidney area urine test show ph=6, yellow, s.Turbid, help?

Turbid urine: It seems, from your symptoms that you have, at the very least a urinary tract infection (uti). See your doctor, have your temperature taken and have your urine sent off for a culture and sensitivity and get started on an antibiotic. Good luck. ...Read more

What kind of doctor should I see to test for metabolic syndrome?
