Exercise: You have a bmi of 33.2 which equals obesity. Try doing exercise every day. Mainly aerobic exercise (enough to make you short of breath and sweaty), with 2 days a week of strength training. Do at least 45 min every day. And write down the calorie count of foods you eat, with the aim being to eat less than 1600 calories per day. It may take a while, but you will notice a huge difference after 6 mon.

Normal CBC, CMP & electrolytes. Does this exclude acid/base problems such as metabolic acidosis or alkalosis??

Normal CBC, CMP & electrolytes. Does this exclude acid/base problems such as metabolic acidosis or alkalosis??

Sort of: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, just the fact that you are asking this question is sufficient to conclude that you do not have serious acid/base disorder.

Will taking synthroid (thyroxine) boost your metabolic rate and increase your weight loss? I do not have a thyroid problem and was just curious

Curious: Thyroid issues infrequently cause thyroid problems. If your doctor has never checked your thyroid levels he/she will probably do so at your next visit. Synthroid would increase your weight loss but there does not seem to be any thyroid issue.
