I'm a 22y male, 67kg. Recently i had a mesh repair for my inguinal hernia. After 13 days of the operation, the wound gets swelled. Is that normal?
Last June I had a mesh inserted to repair inguinal hernia. Now 37w pregn, how high is the risk of mesh rupturing, being displaced in vaginal delivery?
Should not: as mesh is a tension free repair , fibrous tissue grows around will not allow displacement of mesh , rare occasions can happen . Common: Tough to know exactly what the problem is. Doubt is the mesh if there has been a long interval with no symptoms. Recent symptoms could be a sign of hernia recurrence.
