Stretching: I am enthusiastic about water exercises in general. Water aerobics in a pool, just swimming laps, etc. Also some of the more gentle yoga classes would help (Talk with the instructor first). Bad DOC, BAD go to your corner;) ...Read more

Have reducable lump 5 weeks post laparo inguinal mesh repair. Identical to original hernia. Thoughts?

Can mesh used to repair ventral hernia's be causing the pain i'm have when i finish urinating?

MESH: Unlikely but if it is very low hernia and the bladder has stuck to it it is possible. Still quite unlikely. More likely the pain is from the catheter that was likely in for the surgery. ...Read more

No: You should call and discuss this with your surgeon. This could be a benign problem, but could also be an infection at the surgical site. ...Read more

Should not: as mesh is a tension free repair , fibrous tissue grows around will not allow displacement of mesh , rare occasions can happen . Discuss with your OB doctor , issue will be which is safer to you and baby , not slight chance of recurrence of hernia. Choice is obvious , Good Luck ...Read more
