Trans* persons have been forced 2 conform 2 these labels at the cost of their dignity & humanity. Public policy & healthcare have a long way 2 go 2 change this. An evaluation.: Expect an evaluation to find out what is going on. Be open and honest with your provider and listen to the options give to you in order to treat. Let the psychiatrist know what you are seeking. Communication is key.

You mostly can't: Beyond the signs of obvious illness (fever, runny nose, cough, etc.), you can't tell. Just by looking, you can't tell if your child care provider might be carrying a virus, if she has a silent cancer growing, if she has diabetes she's not taking care of effectively, or most anything else. You can only see the illnesses that are obvious to all of us.

If you're the other parent of the child in question, you can also advise the mental health professional of your concerns.

If: If add is the only problem and you have been stable on the same medication on the same dosage for a while, then usually this can be followed by a general or family practice physician. However, there are some general and family physicians who do not prescribe psychotropic medications. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
That depends: I see that you are o effexor (venlafaxine). Is fear of abandonment a more general issue in your life than just fear of health care providers giving up on you? If it is, the answer will be to address that pattern within yourself. Some people look to physicians to fill dependency needs & feel abandoned when the physician can not. When that is the case, lowering expectations will help.See 1 more doctor answer
