Menstrual Spotting Daily Obesity Perimenopausal
I'm having perimenopausal and have been having this spotting almost daily which is an orange redish color for about 2-3 weeks now. concerning?
Menstrual refers to the monthly cycle in women which prepares the female for ovulation, generally once per month, which is that time of month that the egg can be fertilized by the male sperm, for the purpose of reproduction. Menstrual cycles start at the first day of menstruation. (it's always been curious to me that 'menstrual' and ...Read more
Im currently on CD62. Usually my cycle is 60. I experienced small spotting last night, but no period as per normal. Im very worried. Perimenopause?
Unlikely: Your cycles are abnormally long at 60 days and I think someone should look into that but you are very young for this to be perimenopause at 28. The perimenopause is usually the 5 years before and the 5 years after your last period (when you run out of eggs). Menopause before age 40 is considered premature and is abnormal. Check a pregnancy test and see a doctor to help explain the long cycles. ...Read more

I am 38 & obese. I'm having serious issues with my menstral cycle. First it was absent, now I've been bleeding for 3 months. Is this perimenopausal?
I'm 41 yrs old & my periods for the past 2 months are very light spotting. This month is the same but with a large blood clot. Is this perimenopause?
Unlikely: The average age of menopause is 51, so 41 would be very early to go through menopause. Hormones can wax and wane in the 40's though, and it's possible you're just experiencing some hormonal swings. Definition of menopause is no period for a year. Your having then, just lighter. Cannot explain blood clot but could also relate to hormones. See a gynecologist to discuss and possible ultrasound. ...Read more
How long can spotting last during perimenopause and is it normal? I have had 3 colposcapies in the last 10 years and they have all been normal.
Spotting @ 55: Perimenopause can cause lightened or absent periods with spotting. However, endometrial cancer also presents in the same way. Colposcopies are not the prime way to assess the endometrium as it looks at the endocervical canal and cervix itself and not the endometrium. An endometrial biopsy will tell you and your MD much more about why you are spotting if this is worrisome. ...Read more
Spotting on and off and then bleeding for several months with flow never absent for more than 2 weeks. Perimenopause right? Could it be anything else?
What are the symptoms of estrogen dominance/low progesterone? I am 44 possibly perimenopause. Spotting btw periods/clotty periods. Tsh & pap normal.
See below: In women struggling through peri-menopausal transition, cycles where you do not ovulate are common. This is similar to being stuck in the first half of your cycle where estrogen is the dominant hormone. This can be balanced by either taking birth control pills, or using Progesterone (provera (medroxyprogesterone) for example) during the latter half of each cycle. Talk to your doctor. ...Read more

It : It would be a good idea to see a gynecologist and have the problem evaluated again just to make sure. It is possible that the bleeding may be from the cervix instead of the uterus. There may be a cervical polyp that was not removed during the d&c. If there is no other reason found other the abnormal uterine bleeding, you can stop the problem by having an ablation done. It is a procedure that can be done easily in the doctor's office to stop the bleeding the recovery time is very short so you are back to usual activity in a few days. I have both novasure an thermachoice equipment in the office for ablations. They are both very good. People choose one or the other for different reasons. Mabel obeng md. ...Read more
I missed my menstrual in august. Then i got it in september, october, and november. I missed december and this month i have had light spotting.
I had spotting in between my menstrual cycles. The spotting lasted 3 days. Should it be considered as another menstrual cycle?
My last actual menstrual cycle was on 5/20/16. I missed it on 6/20/16.On 7/4/16 I started spotting but only in the mornings?
Some thoughts...: Pregnancy is the most common cause of a missed period. If not pregnant, other causes of a late or missed period include: excessive weight loss or weight gain, increased exercising, emotional stress, having an illness, traveling, medicines (especially birth control pills), hormonal disorders, etc… A urine preg. test is very accurate at 3 weeks after sex, or 1 week after starting a "weird" period. ...Read more
I took plan b the first week of my menstrual cycle. 2 weeks later i started spotting and i'm still spotting a week later. Is this normal?
Some thoughts...: Irregular bleeding after taking a morning-after pill, like Plan B, is somewhat common. Some women get spotting or bleeding before the next period. Women may also have a heavier or lighter next period, or a period that is early or late. A urine pregnancy test can be done 3 weeks after taking a morning-after pill, to be sure the pill worked. ...Read more

Do i count the brownish spotting at the end of my menstrual cycle as day 5 or i count the last day that i had with regular blood flow as my last day?
Days of period: If it looks like old blood (all brown), then that means the actual bleeding stopped a day or so prior to that. If there's any bright blood, then you're still on your period it's not a super exact science, so being off by a day or two doesn't make a difference for most things. For pregnancy, we care more about what day your last period started. ...Read more
