Stretch and hydrtate: There are many causes of muscle cramps. With this happening during exercise, the two most likely reasons could be tight muscles and/or electrolyte imbalance. I would suggest stretching before and after your workout. Also, make sure you hydrate well. Yes: A cramping sensation can occur in any month in pregnancy. Of course what is the difference between this cramping and threat of miscarriage. Difficult question to always answer. Tina, It's common to have this, and you should be evaluated by your pediatrician, possibly by a gyn. If unable to tolerate an internal exam, a pelvic sono can be done to exclude any serious concern.
Usually this responds to NSAIDS, and/or oral contraceptives.
So, while this may be normal, it doesn't mean you have to put up w/it. See someone, and do something about it.
