Irregularity: Are you on hormonal birth control at all? This can commonly cause random spotting/cramping. If not, I wouldn't get terribly concerned at this point as you did end up having your normal menstrual period without delay. Sometimes the hormones in our bodies get out of whack and cause irregular spotting and cramps at times which is "normal". In the future, if missing a period, check a pregnancy test. ...Read more

Is it normal to have cramps so bad that you can't sleep and feel nauseated during your menstrual cycle?

Is it normal to have cramps so bad that you can't sleep and feel nauseated during your menstrual cycle?

Maybe, but not nice!: Tina, It's common to have this, and you should be evaluated by your pediatrician, possibly by a gyn. If unable to tolerate an internal exam, a pelvic sono can be done to exclude any serious concern. Usually this responds to NSAIDS, and/or oral contraceptives. So, while this may be normal, it doesn't mean you have to put up w/it. See someone, and do something about it. Good Luck ...Read more

Sounds normal: Your periods occur because of changes in hormones within your system. While a lot of women have a period every month around the same time, there is variation from cycle to cycle. Ie – a period may come on a few days earlier or later and maybe heavier or lighter depending on the endometrium lining. It may come continuously or with intermittent spotting. These are variation of a normal process ...Read more

Delay menses for 3 days. Slight spotting and feel slight menstrual cramps. Did 3 pregnancy test, all negative! what can be the reason?

Trust the test : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. See doc if period does not come in a few weeks. ...Read more
