I am menopausal and am experiencing menstrual cramps and period like bleeding. Is that normal?

Maybe: Any bleeding in a menopausal woman needs to be evaluated for possible precancer or cancer. That is the least likely cause but obviously the most important to be sure of. More common causes include non-cancerous polyps and hormonal issues, either a final ovulation or tissue thinning from lack of estrogen. ...Read more

What are the chances of normal pregnancy after little bleeding and menstrual cramps in 5th week of pregnancy? . .. Please give suggestions

Pregnancy: Really impossible to give percentages or "Chances" for you, but rest assured many women have had mild bleeding and cramping with a normal pregnancy following. I've had sex w/out a condom yesterday but he pulled out way before he came, next day I have menstrual cramps then some vaginal bleeding. What is it?

Uncertain: It is obviously not pregnancy related given the condom use and withdrawal. Cramping and spotting sometimes occurs midcycle related ovulation (related to cyst rupture and an abrupt drop in estrogen mid-cycle). If it continues, then it would be easier to sort out in person with your doctor. ...Read more

Breakthrough: It's probably breakthrough bleeding, can't say for sure 'why' over the internet. 'implantation bleeding' is all the rage online now, but it's over-rated in importance. It's not consistent and is usually not 'implantation' but breakthrough bleeding. A pregnancy test in a few days will confirm one way or another. ...Read more
