Patients typically have sweats and chills, and are really sick. Maybe drink some extra fluids, walk and use some flexibility exercises. Anti-inflammatories might help also and se how things go over the next 24-48 hrs. If you get worse, please go see a doctor! ...Read more

Been feeling mild flu like symptoms for last few days. Starting today- moderate stiff neck and mild headache but no fever. Meningitis?
I have had a headache and stiff neck for almost a week. The headache comes and goes but the stiff neck is constant. I don't have a fever or any other syptoms. Is it because my period may be starting soon or should I get screened for meningitis?
Stiff neck no Temp: Hello ~ if this was meningitis I don't think you would be in fit condition to ask the question. The stiff neck is probably musculature and responds well to massage, PT, heat and ADVIL (ibuprofen). Meningitis (both bact&viral) are accompanied by FEVER and headache. This is absent here. Try some PT or a massage & ADVIL (ibuprofen) for pain thx ...Read more

The combination of blue lips and headache could mean that you are not getting enough oxygen. ...Read more
