Is it safe OK to take mobic (meloxicam) 15mg at bedtime instead of morning? And as is ibuprofen safer?
Take with food: Popping Mobic (meloxicam) or any other NSAID on an empty stomach and then hopping into bed is not a good idea. NSAIDs should be taken with a meal. Taking the NSAID at bedtime would increase the possibility of either gastritis or esophagitis. There is not much safety difference between Mobic (meloxicam) and ibuprofen. ...Read more

You may be quite ill: Being young (no prior cardiac issues) your most likely to become quite ill for some time. This is not what you say you want so it will be bad from your POV too. Some might have a fatal heart attack but it's not always fast. Don't do it! I hear that you are very unhappy w/ life — this would make it worse. Is mobic (meloxicam) safer than ibuprofen? I was just prescribed Mobic (meloxicam). I have anxiety so I didn't know if it'd get my bp up or make me feel weird.
Anxiety raises BP: If a person takes Mobic (meloxicam) and worries her blood pressure will go up, she will see that her blood pressure goes up after taking Mobic (meloxicam). Likewise, if she takes ibuprofen and worries her blood pressure will rise, she will see that her blood pressure rises. That's because it's her anxiety that raises her BP, not the pain medication. Pain medication lowers BP by lowering the amount of pain. Avoid anxiety. ...Read more

It could: Mobic (meloxicam) and Ibuprofen are from the same class of NSAID pain relievers. Taking the maximum dosage or higher of nsaids can lead to stomach upset, stomach/esophageal/intestinal bleeding, and kidney dysfunction or failure. Aspirin is also an NSAID but a weak one. If you are still having pain after Aspirin and either Ibuprofen or mobic, (meloxicam) see your doctor. There are other meds available as adjuncts. ...Read more

What's the difference between 15mg Meloxicam and 800mg ibuprofen as far as pain relief? Do i have to take it for a period in order to build up
