Melanin Reduction Surgery
Hi I am asian origin, has a dusky complexion, I would like to do full body melanin reduction surgery, where is this service being offered in USA?
No such thing: There is no such treatment for the whole body. If you don't like to be dark, avoiding sunlight exposure with umbrella, large hat, and a titanium or zinc sunscreen may help. There are creams to reduce the melanin production but the effect is only transient and the dose may be toxic when applied all over the body. Perhaps focusing on your face would be a more realistic. Goal. ...Read more

I have dark nails due to melanin and so I'm always wearing nail polish. I heard about fake nails implants, a surgery born in USA. Info or Intox?
I'm done with topical cream like hydroquinone so is there any surgery that can reduce melanin in order to achieve a lighter complexion?
Incomplete Info: I need more info about you and your skin, in order to answer this query. What color are you? Dark, light, black, scots-irish? Family history. Sun exposure history, medical health? If you like, give some more info and i'll try to be more directive in my answer. In general, there are a few things you can do to "lighten up." we can talk more about them if yoiu give me more info. ...Read more
Hey I was wondering if my medicaid would cover a weight reduction surgery for me. I'm no expert but I'd say its pretty necessary.
There is no: State-funded insurance policies that cover weight reduction surgery that I am aware of, and I know North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia policies. As you can tell, we are in the stroke and heart attack belt of America. I hope you find better answers in your state. ...Read more
Chin Reduction: In general, it is best to wait, when possible, for the body (and face) to finish growing before considering any cosmetic procedures. At 16, your face will likely continue to grow and this will affect your overall facial proportions. If chin reduction is done prematurely, then as the face continues to change, what may have been a good result intially, no longer looks good. ...Read more
Chin reduction pain: Chin reduction is generally not a terribly painful recovery. It can be described as more uncomfortable than painful. The first 3 days are generally the most uncomfortable, but can be controlled with pain medication. Chin reduction is usually easier than chin augmentation in that the surrounding skin and muscle is not stretched but allowed to relax. ...Read more
None: By "none" I don't mean no reduction, I mean no typical. Any statistics on dose reduction after DBS are descriptive not predictive; i.e. they only average out the result of a large pool of patients. The individual patient needs individualized therapy. Dose reduction can range from 100% (rare) to none (much more common). Depends on both efficacy AND tolerability of the drug. ...Read more

It Depends!: Many types of fractures require this kind of repair. How long it takes depends on the location of the fracture (which bone), how bad the break it, and what other injuries or health problems the person needing the surgery has. Also, complications can arise during any surgical procedure and delay things. The orthopedist or other specialist doing the surgery is the best person to ask. ...Read more

Yes, but uncommonly: Done. While I have perfomed breast reductions on patients as young as 15-16 because of enormous breasts causing severe neck and back pain, this is very rare. The scars from breast reduction (like all scars) are permanent. While one should be able to breast feed postop, there is no guarantee. Also, it is possible that repeat reduction may need to be done later in life. ...Read more
A procedure.: Holep and greenlight pvp are examples of laser technologies used in the treatment of benign prostatic enlargement.
