Conscious breathing: There are many different ways to meditate but the essence is taking slow deep breaths while focusing on the process & focusing your mind on a sound or image. Incredibly valuable: I started to meditate the summer before i entered medical school (over 30 years ago) and have meditated virtually every day since. I credit meditation with my surviving the ordeal of medical education with some semblance of sanity. It reduces stress, lifts my spirits & improves ability to focus & concentrate. I believe mediation is an invaluable life skill & advise everyone to meditate regularly. ...Read more
