I keep reading there is no proof that daily vitamin c can help the body, but a deficiency is bad so shouldn't you try to eat alot of foods with vit c ?
Vitamins/minerals: The body needs dozens and dozens of vitamins and minerals to work properly. Vitamin C is only one of them. A deficiency of any of them is not good. An excess of some is also not good. Excess Vit C is simply excreted by the kidneys into the urine. Your body is very good at regulating it. I recommend a balanced diet, with the RDA of VitC. Unproven: Many people with asthma use alternative medications. But you shd not hesitate to use asthma medications from ur doctor as the medicines he will use have been documented to work both in emergency situations and in PREVENTION of asthma. Vitamin C is: generally good for you. If you take too much you may get the runs. Daily maintenance dose would be one 1K tab in the a.m. and one 1K tab in the p.m. It only lasts in your body for about 12 hours so whatever you take needs to be in divided doses.
