I had my baby almost 8 weeks ago and I'm experiencing symphysis pubic dysfunction. Is there anything I can do in the meantime while I wait to see dr.?

Yes, take some Tyle-: Nol for pain, for starters. If your breast feeding then check with your OB or pcp which drugs to take.
A heat pack 3-4 times/day might help (for 20 minutes), or some pts like an ice pad; still others prefer alternating them for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day.
The pain usually subsides in 3-4 months.
Your OB might be able to advise as well about it.
Good luck, best wishes for 2014 ; enjoy the baby. ...Read more

An MRI is more sensitive and is good at picking up acute inflammation, but relatively poor in chronic situations of inflammation. ...Read more
