My dad (50) is taking clonazepam 0.5 mg for anxiety for 20 years..Now it's not well effective..Please prescribe any other medicine for him?

Suggestions: Will need to talk to doctor where you are for prescription, but glad to make suggestions. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine which leads to tolerance meaning dose needs to be increased for ongoing effect. 0.5 mg is a very low dose, but increasing dose is not the answer. Many alternatives: buspirone, paroxetine, citalopram, venlafaxine, duoxetine, just to name a few. ...Read more

What is the best medication for hbp and ED for a 73 year old with slightly enlarged ptostate?I am corrently on aldomet (methyldopate) 250gm twice daily

Many options: Other option is to use doxazosin (Cardura) or Hytrin (terazosin) that are good for both HTN and enlarged prostate. Remember that hypertension requires three, four or more different medicines (once, twice, three or four times a day) to achieve good control over several months. So it is very likely to add others like acei, arbs. , betas or ca blockers.Aldomet (methyldopate) is currently not commonly used in the US. ...Read more

Is it safe 120mg of vyvance(perscription meditican for add) for a 150lb 16 year old boy?

I do not know: That is a large dose. Consider additional ideas like- stopping dairy and going gluten free. Seek the help of a chinese medicine practitioner (i have great results!) as that can help reduce the amount of vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) he takes. Try cod liver oil pills to increase omega three fatty acids. Reduce video game playing (if he plays) spend more time outside. Native remedies.Com- bright spark- check it out. ...Read more

Is niacin 500mg daily a safe dose for LDL reduction therapy before prescribing a statin for high cholesterol? Patient is 29 yr old male

Yes: That is the regular starting dose for niacin. Have exercise, weight loss and diet already been tried? That would be my first recommendation. If Niacin is ineffective, statins my be considered.
