Needs follow-up: At this point it sounds like the stones are still in the kidney. They should not cause pain unless they start moving down the kidney tube (ureter). Most stones are calcium oxalate and cannot be dissolved. A stone that is 8X4mm is unlikely to pass on its own. Endoscopic procedure is advisable. Make sure you follow with your urologist.
