Depends: Nystatin is used to treat fungal infections. Triamcinolone is topical steroid, which is used to treat eczema or allergic contact dermatitis type reactions. I f the rash is being caused by an allergic reaction, using the triamcinolone cream twice daily on the affected area will help. Your ethnicity and age makes Eosinophilic esophagitis EoE a strong suspect despite the biopsy findings. In fact I have a patient in whom it took a 3nd endoscopy and biopsy to finally show that he had indeed EoE as I had initially suspected. The one thing which is unusual is the oral thrush in the absence of steroid or diabetes. Thus a fasting metabolic panel may be worthwhile to rule out diabetes. The hypokalemia is also unexpected in the absence of any known cause. Here's what I would suggest:
(a)Get a fasting metabolic panel to rule diabetes if not done already.
(b)Try eliminating wheat, egg, milk, soy, and peanuts from your diet for a month and see if there is any change in your symptoms. If possible get scoped again for objective observation.
(c)Work with an allergist and nutritionist to make sure that you are on the right track.

What would you do if your mouth, especially your tongue, and even sometimes your lips feel like they burn and sting all the time I've been to the doctor with this, only to get nystatin mouth rinse, you gargle and swallow - put the medicine in both cheeks.
Not Yeast: Its entirely possible that the condition is not a yeast infection, hence Nystatin won't work. Probably not,: Unless has been opened and exposed to bacteria that shouldn't be in there. Nystatin is anti-fungal and does not kill bacteria.
