Potassium level 3.0, occasional flutters in chest. Prescribed Klor-Con 10 to treat. Safe to have sex?

Low potassium: As a 29 year old female, you are a on 3 different BP meds. The onethat may be causing your low potassium (k), is the hctz (hydrochlorothiazide). Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) wastes not only k but magnesium as well (m) in the urine. Patients with a m deficit will not raise their k level to normal until they raise their m level. Have your m level checked and replete it to see if you k will increase. I would discuss your question of sex with md. ...Read more

DR prescribed Monopril 5mg, HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) 12.5mg & KLOR-CON 4mg for mild, longtime HTN. My potassium levels are normal. Is KLOR-CON necessary or risky?

I'm taking Klor-Con cause I went to ER and found out I have very low potassium. I've been taking meds since wed and now my legs are starting to ache?

This is serious: Do you have hypokalemic periodic paralysis? Low potassium is life-threatening. Did you accidentally take a diuretic? Do you have diarrhea caused by a potassium-wasting colon tumor? Your physician has a duty to let you know exactly what is going on, and you have a duty to yourself to demand a full explanation rather than just "take this pill." you're here now; go back & be proactive! ...Read more

Having hpv 16&58 had cold knife conization 2 weeks ago due to HGSIL. Waiting for pathology results. Your advice for boosting immunity. I don't smoke.

Too late for vaccine: At age 45 + the presence of HGSIL already, it is too late to be immunized with the HPV vaccine which is recommended for ages 11 and up for both boys and girls.
