Depends.: A hydrocele is a benign condition and it seldom causes any symptoms other than a large bulge in your pants and some heaviness. If it grows bigger and it is difficult to cope with it, surgery may be indicated. I don't like aspirations it seldom helps. Hydroceles very rare get infected if they do antibiotics are indicated.
