Are there any good allegry medicines besides Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for allergy?

OTC allergy meds: Yes, there are. The old standouts are loratidine (claritin) and Cetirizine (zyrtec).
This year, fenofexamine (allegra) was introduced. All have been prescription medicines previously and touted as non-sedating. Cetirizine often causes drowsiness so it has to be taken at bedtime; the other 2 can be taken during the day.
All are taken once a day. ...Read more

If you take twice the normal dose you could still have a significant amount after more than 24 hours. ...Read more
