My new cardio wants to switch me from nadolol to metoprolol for my increase HR. Do other md prefer one over the other. He said it's the preferred drug?
I am taking Nadolol for my Long QT Syndrome. What exactly does that medicine do? My doctor never explained to me.

If it works: Corgard (nadolol) and propranolol are both beta blockers. Corgard (nadolol) has a much longer duration than propranolol thus given once daily. Both are good for SVT if it is working for you. If not and you are still having attacks, then there other medications available that are more effective such as Flecainide.
