Is there another drug combination for diverticulitis besides Flagel? I am also taking Bactrim due to allergies to Cipro, (ciprofloxacin) Keflex and Penecillin.

First, I would want to 'define' ur allergies further-because sometimes a patient is labeled as 'allergic' & they aren't really allergic at all. That is really important. Adverse events are supposed to be reported to the FDA, and you can file an event report. What is the problem?: What infection you trying to treat? Cipro (ciprofloxacin) id broad spectrum Antibiotics . should NOT be taken unless severe BACTERIAL infection. Consult your md: re: an alternative if possible. Macrodantin or Bactrim are popular first line drugs to treat uncomplicated UTIs. Cipro can have multiple drug issues, such that it is discouraged as a firstline agent; in the case of celexa, the 2drugs may cause q-t prolongation - a change in the rhythm of the heart that can be harmful.
