Getting allergy testing done next week. Since coming off antihistamines I've noticed how extreeeemely itchy my scalp/body is. Using Aveeno (oatmeal) is helping.
Dry skin: If the allergy skin testing is solely for itching without any nasal, eye. Or respiratory symptoms, I believe that the yield is quite low. Your response to Aveeno suggests that dry skin is likely the cause and would recommend that you apply the lotion <3 minutes after bathing (avoid scented soap as well) to see if this helps. ...Read more

Hives, vomiting, etc: Allergy to oats is rare, but certainly possible. Food allergies cause similar symptoms, so you should watch for hives, vomiting, difficulty breathing, lip swelling and itching in the mouth. Depends: Many of the commonly available oat products are milled at the same facilities that mill wheat. If so, trace amounts of wheat can contaminate the oats and result in a sensitivity reaction. If you examine the consumer label of these products you may be able to find one that is milled on separate equipment and safe to consume. ...Read more
Yes, but....: Oatmeal is a very different grain than wheat is and it is rare that a person is allergic to both. However, many places that make cereals use the same equipment to process the oats as they do wheat, so cross contamination with small amounts of wheat can occur. Read label of your oatmeal - it will usually list if prepared in a facility where wheat exposure/contamination may occur. ...Read more
I get heartburn every time I eat carb foods (pasta, breads, oatmeal etc). Is this gluten related? I don't experience other gluten allergy symptoms.
Possible: Try gluten-free oat to see if causes the same symptoms. Even though you may not have the full-blown symptoms, and heart burn is not the usual symptoms in gluten intolerance, it cannot be totally ruled out. Nonetheless it would be a good idea for you to consult a doctor regarding these symptoms. ...Read more

Dry scalp: There is not a contraindication to put a gentle lotion as aveeno (oatmeal) on the scalp. However, it may not be cosmetically elegant. There are scalp oils that are more appropriate and that will have more hydrating properties. Try macademian oil, rosemary oil or argan oil formulations. The rosemary oil brand that I like is by weleda. ...Read more

Does anyone know if any serious side effects will occur as a result of the aveeno mosturuzing lotion being placed intravaginally?
It depends on the circumstances. If you did it once, it should not have any effect. If you did it and had sex with a condom, the condom would have become ineffective. If you need a lubricant, use a water based jelly like K-Y jelly.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Benzoyl peroxide 5: Acne is a very common skin disorder in teenagers and young adults. It is due to hormones and genetics. Benzoyl peroxide gels are over the counter, cheap, and work to kill p.Acnes and reduce the inflammation caused when hair follicles are ruptured. If this doesn't work, go see a dermatologist who can prescribe oral antibiotics and topical retinoids. The soap you are using is of lesser importance. ...Read more
My face breaks out very bad and I tried to use aveeno face wash on my face and it seems to break out my face even more so I haven’t use anything since?
Acne=infection.: Acne is truly an infection within the pores of the skin, so any effective treatment for acne should initially include both a drying agent (i.e. benzoyl peroxide) and an antibiotic (which could be topical or oral). Oils from the hair may also be in play so that may need to be addressed as well. ...Read more
My whole body is itchy no matter what. I have used aveeno (oatmeal) lotion many times daily and I still itch everywhere. My skin is soft, not dry. Relief?
Generalized itching (pruritis), in the absence of any visible abnormalities of the skin, can be due to occult (hidden) systemic illness such as malignancies and liver/biliary disorders. However, often times no definite cause is found. Anxiety, stress and psychiatric disorders can often cause itching. Medications can cause itching.
