Not especially: Artane is an anticholinergic, and that class of medications is not useful for treating adhd. I'm currently taking risperdone, Artane, Lexapro, (escitalopram) and Lamictal. Is it safe to use passion flower with those for insomnia?

Talk to your doctor: In general, I recommend patients to not combine their psychiatric medications with herbals. Based upon my review of Passion flower, increased drowsiness is the main risk. Some herbals increase the risk of Serotonin syndrome when combined with psych meds. I did not see any reports of this with Passion flower. Talk to your doctor before combining your meds with any herbal preparations. Best wishes! ...Read more

Second opinion: The doctor patient relationship is very important. You can start w/getting a second opinion from another doc. If you are more comfortable w/second or even third doc, then stay w/him or her. If you don't trust any doc then you would do well to sort that out w/a therapist. Peace and good health. ...Read more

I have Parkinson's and I am on artane, and sinemet (carbidopa and levodopa). Is there something that can help my inner tremor. It's really bad in morning.

I have Parkinson's and I am on artane, and sinemet (carbidopa and levodopa). Is there something that can help my inner tremor. It's really bad in morning.

Internal tremor: Dopamine agonists like rotigatine, ropinirole ; Pramipexole may help. Amantadine can curb dyskinesia from sinemet, (carbidopa and levodopa) but may not help much for inner tremor. Younger people often tolerate higher doses of artane/ trihexyphenidyl than elderly, the drug of choice for pd-related tremor. Beta blockers like Propranolol may also reduce this tremor. Ask your neurologist for guidance. Good luck. ...Read more

Parkinson. Slowness movement, beginning state. 2 guide fr 2 doctors: 1st: sifrol 250; 2nd: trivastal 50mg, lioresal (baclofen) 10mg, artane 2mg. Which one better?

Critique: Trivastal, a newer Dopamine agonist, is not available in the usa, but might be a choice. Sifrol, pramipexole, is likely your safest and best starting drug. There is no role for lioresal, (baclofen) and Artane is literally "poison" and is not used in the usa. Choose the doc who recommended sifrol. ...Read more

I'm curious as to what is the best medicine to cure allergy?

No cure yet, but...: Allergy shots (allergen immunotherapy) is currently the only treatment that is disease modifiying, meaning it can change how the body responds to exposure to allergens. It is "natural" and long lasting effects carry on after shots are stopped. It works for most, but not all people. Closest thing to a cure so far..... For more read my blog at: http://www.
