I have neck pain that radiates to arm like pinching but worse when I get up from bed is the worse what can it be I haven't had any trauma to it?

Muscular most likely: The most likely cause is myofascial or muscular pain. It is possible that certain positions you might be sleeping in could be the cause of your pain. If you are experiencing any numbness/tingling or weakness it is possible it is a pinched nerve in the neck. If you're not having any of these nerve symptoms, I would suggest trying different pillows. Suggest trying to roll a towel for neck support. ...Read more

Could be neurologic: it would be wise for you to see your physician and maybe get a neurology evaluation. The symptoms you have with the weakness could suggest some compromise to your neurologic system. There maybe other causes as well and this is where your physician can help clarify the issue and see if you need to see a neurologist. ...Read more

I have a light bruise along a vein in my arm. The area hasn't experienced any trauma, should I be worried?

Bruise along vein: Keep an eye on it. It is not very common to have problems with the veins in the arms. Spontaneous blood clots in the arms are very rare in the absence of trauma. Phlebitis (vein inflammation) in the arms is also rare. If not swollen, red or painful, and if you don't have fevers or any other symptoms, just watch it. If it gets worse or you have bleeding other places, see a doctor. ...Read more

What causes phlebitis with no history of trauma or inactivity. It started in my armpit and now is throughout my arm. I'm prescribed keflex?

Can be other things.: Other things can cause phlebitis, like bacterial infection which can explain why you are on keflex. Machanical trauma from an IV needle can do it, as can chemicals that cause irritations or burns. Medications, like antidepressants, alcohol, and drugs (opiates) can also do it. Finally, it can be genetic, and run in families. If in your leg, too much standing can do it. See your dr. Fast. ...Read more

Trauma to clavical area causing high blood pressure in one arm. Why would this happen?

Side to side differe: May be normal difference, but there could be a block in the artery on the side with a lower blood pressure. If this is actually a high pressure, it is not likely to have been caused by the injury. If it is feeling a difference, then the fracture could have caused nerve or other injury. ...Read more

I had blunt force trauma to my upper arm, after two weeks I still have a large painful lump under the skin after two weeks. Not visible. What is it?

Most likely blood: You most likely have a hematoma under the skin, this is a jello like collection of clotted blood which accumulates under the skin after trauma. It is usually just treated with pain meds and a heating pad. There could be other causes, but this is most likely, should resolve after 2 or 3 months, if not, see a doctor. ...Read more

Sharp left shoulder pain. Hurts more when I take a deep breath, lie down or get up. I can move my left arm with no pain. No physical signs of trauma.

Not clear: Typically if pain is related to movement it is muscle related. Heart disease or inflammatory diseases are something to consider although less likely. See your doctor for a full exam and history. ...Read more

Varies: Multiple potential causes, I would not hesitate to be seen.
