May decrease milk: While it is safe to take otc medication, just like it can dry up the mucous in your nose, it can dry up your milk production as well. I recommend local/topical treatment like a nasal spray such as afrin, humidity, nasal saline drops, or warm/steamy beverages such as teas. Also make sure to get plenty of fluids yourself - both to keep mucous thin and ensure your milk supply. ...Read more

Sinus meds: Unfortunately for you, studies are rarely done on breastfeeding women, so very few medications are considered "okay" while breastfeeding. The 2 you mentioned are in that grey zone. Try using nasal saline rinses and get plenty of rest and fluids to manage your cold symptoms. ...Read more

Stuffy nose syndrome: It has nothing to do with what you eat. Babies breath through their noses and get a lot of mucous in their nose. If the room in which they sleep, is too hot or very dry the problem can get worse.
