Meclizine 25 Mg Uses
Not best choice: It is a matter of effectiveness. Medicines have an expiration date to regulate usage and effectiveness. If medicine expired it may not work at all as intended. Not recommended to use after expired.
Please explain meclizine uses and side effects? Something to take everyday? Doc prescribed it for me. 25

Is it ok to take meclizine and phenergan (promethazine) together and can I use Zofran for breakthrough nausea?
Caution with meds: This is not a good idea. Using promethazine together with meclizine may increase side effects such as drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, difficulty urinating, abdominal cramping, constipation, rapid heart beat, confusion, etc. All three of those drugs work for nausea -so you must be quite miserable. Would check back with your Primary for an optimal schedule. Maybe Zofran (ondansetron) works the best for u?See 1 more doctor answer
Expiration date: Virtually all food/medicine products sold in us have an expiration date before which it is guaranteed most effectiveness for what the medicine can do. This only means as time pass, the medicine slowly deteriorates and thus becomes less and less effective. For example: if the med is to expire 12/31/12, it should still be good 1/1/13, but may not be in 9/1/15 etc. Consult doc. Good luck.
Depends.: The onset of action is ~1 hour; the duration of action is ~24 hours. The time to eliminate 1/2 of the dose is 5 hours (half-life elimination). Can I take haloperidol oral and meclizine oral together, or a few hours apart? 0.5 mg halo, and maybe 12.5 or 25 of meclizine.... DR prescribed both.

I have some Meclizine HCL 25 mg that expired 10/2014? Is it still okay to take or should I get a new box. Going on cruise. Don't want to be seasick
Your risk: You can try it. Maybe there's enough active ingredient after 3 years past expiration date to work for you. Otherwise, you might want to obtain more, or have another plan like wrist bands or other solutions if you become motion sick.
