Meat Fruit And Vegetable Diet
Is it true that vegetarian diet is healthier than a diet consisting of red meats chicken and fish that also includes fruit and vegetables?
Moderation is key: As with most things, too much of a good thing may not be good. Too much red meat can cause problems with weight management and cardiovascular health. Fish is a good source of healthy, cholesterol reducing omega's. Balance is key and a strict vegetarian diet will sometimes require people to increase their need for other supplements. There are good organic sources for meat, fruits and veggies. ...Read more

Hydrate: Congratulations on starting your diet! There are many causes of this type of cramping. Your cramps might be from dehydration with low electrolytes such as magnesium, calcium or potassium. Try drinking some electrolyte solution like pedialyte. If your calves are swollen, red and/or tender to the touch, see your doctor ASAP for evaluation of possible deep vein thrombosis. ...Read more
Is a largely fruit only diet unheathly? A diet that consists of largely fruit for breakfast and lunch and then a modest dinner that is not fruit based but typically with meat and vegies.
Hello.: Hello. Fruits have a high sugar content. Adding in healthy fat and protein would help to prevent spikes in blood sugar (hypogylcemic index). The different types of food would need to be eaten together to get these benefits. Because of sugar content, want to lean more heavily on vegetables instead of just fruits for first two meals. I would not call the diet you are describing as unhealthy, but it is unbalanced and may be lacking in nutrients. Take care. ...Read more

Diet: It is now scientifically proven that a healthy diet should consist mainly of protein calories. The standard that is well respected is that 60% of your calories should come from proteins. Then next would be 25% of calories being from carbohydrates and then 15% from fats. This does not sound like you are on the fast tract to an early death. ...Read more

Low starch diet:
I don't know if that is true but you are describing a low-starch diet, and that is generally healthy. These days I would make sure that the egg, milk, yogurt and meat are organic or else they will come from animals fed gmo foods and have hormones. My favorite overall diet is dr. I heard a lot about a diet to eat only food like meat or fish and strongly recommended not to eat fruit or bread or potatoes anb so on. Is it healthy?
Low carbohydrate: You might be referring to an atkins-type or low-carbohydrate diet. People do lose weight with this approach, but it may not be sustainable as a whole-life practice. In reality, you need lean protein, plenty of vegetables & fruits, healthy fats and cut down on processed foods like sweets, breads, etc. If you are insulin-resistant, you want any carbohydrates to be complex, & more slowly absorbed. ...Read more

I do not eat vegetables or fruit. Just meat fish pasta rice. What is the best combination of fruits, veg, nuts and seeds I can blend into a drink.
Almost anything: Almost any fruit and/or vegetable combination can be made into a smoothie along with nuts, seeds, yoghurt or milk for protein. Banana helps make it creamy especially if not using yoghurt or milk. It also helps for some of the fruit to be frozen (like berries). Google "smoothies" for suggestions. ...Read more

Is it true that baby should be introduced first to meat, then to fruits and vegetables when start solid?
Mostly opinion: I give parents some structure to work with, but to my mind, there is no firm nutritional reason--mostly just opinions--to suggest any sequence is better than any other. It has nothing to do with taste, digestibility, allergy risk, etc. The main reason for solids is to teach your baby to handle them (orally), and demonstrate tolerance for a variety of foods. I suggest one new one every few days. ...Read more

I: I believe you are more concerned (and frustrated) with failing to lose weight than you are by the scale moves up and down by several pounds. You would not be upset, I would guess if the scale kept showing lower numbers with your effort. Weight loss is difficult. If you are not losing then you are taking in and burning up around the same amount of calories. Multiple steps are needed to make progress. I suggest you consider tracking calories and activity using an online site or joining a program such as weight watchers. Fluid shifts can explain changes in weight during the day. By the way, most experts do not recommend reducing meat intake to reduce kidney stone recurrence. An analysis of your urine from a 24 hours collection usually guides changes in diet, and need for medication. If you have uric acid stones, you may have an acid urine or might excrete too much uric acid. The treatment is usually medication which works better than restricting meat intake. ...Read more
