Contributory: Acid reflux has many side effects which can cause damage to normal structures. Mucosal tissue can be eroded by excessive acid. Ordinarily thicker tissue surrounds the teeth, however, if there is only mucosal tissue around the teeth, this tissue can also be effected adversely. The reverse is it: Severe gum inflammation , mostly on the lingual, the inside of the mouth, can be associated with reflux. So, you need a cleaning from a dentist who knows the condition and sequelae . Even cleaning on your own has to be more thorough . you need to rinse with water after a reflux. Infections/allergy?: acid reflux shouldn't cause your tongue or gums to hurt or burn,but gingivitis from bad oral hygiene,or allergies from certain meds or foods can cause that burn. That is an extremely: small number of extra systolic beats. I don't know how you can say they increase when the total is minuscule. One can write down the symptoms that happen each day, along with the activities that day, the foods eaten (including drinks), and medications taken. Write on a big calendar.
