Left : Left sided back pain may be caused by back joint problems, pulled muscle and injured rib or vertebrae, sometimes other organ systems can cause the pain. I would recommend being checked by your primary care doctor. Physical therapy is usually the initial treatment. Hard to say but...: This is hard to answer without more details or even without examining you, but it would be totally safe to add 2 cups of epson salts to your hot bath to get magnesium into your body, which often helps. Consider seeing a physical therapist and/or good osteopath (who does osteopathic manipulation- see http://bit.Ly/1kgd0xp) or good chiropractor. Acupuncture can help as well. Sure.: If you mean metrorrhagia, meaning irregular bleeding between periods, a heating pad may not help prevent bleeding but may help with the cramps you get when you bleed. You should be evaluated by a gyn though b/c bleeding between periods isn't normal and usually is easily treatable. Could be a polyp, an infection, fibroid, or perimenopause. ...Read more
