Hi. Male and 40. Couldn't orgasm tonight. Recently went to ER for uti and dehydration. On Bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) trazedone, and Prozac. Do these drugs cause this?
Possible: Both Prozac (fluoxetine) and Trazodone can cause decreased libido as side effects. You are taking two antidepressants. Not clear why this is necessary. Yes they both could: Dehydration or volume depletion can cause symptoms of lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, and headache. If you are exercising it is recommended to stay well hydrated. Not an STD: Dehydration would not do this. STDs must be on your mind, by your topic tags. But it doesn't sound like any STD. Intermittent symptoms ("random", "off and on") often are psychological. Most penile skin problems are standard dermatology problems that can occur anywhere but happen to involve the penis. But best to see a doctor at a time you're having symptoms; better safe than sorry. UTI symptoms: One of the classic symptoms of a urinary infection is an abnormal or 'bad' smell. Other symptoms can include a change in the urine color (darker and/or cloudy) and difficulty or pain with urination. There's a whole spectrum of symptoms and catching the disease early is a key before other symptoms develop or progress.
