Allergy to the cream: I think you have an allergy to this product-not sure if you have other known allergies? Generally clotrimazole is well tolerated and will wipe out a localized fungal infection, but there's other stuff in the cream you could be allergic to. If a bladder infection (a "lower" uti) works its way upstream, could infect the actual kidney, which can give pain in the flank distribution, also systemic symptoms. An upper urinary tract infection is called a pyelonephritis, and can be serious.
Kidney stone can cause pain, but wouldn't commonly have smells.
